You Want It - You Get It

This is how it works.
First of all, thanks for all of your emails and showing interest for the recording and VoIP topics. As promised, we can make you some Mics built into the DockConnector with the preamp. Just let us know. Below you see one with a hidden microphone that is on the way to Erica, the author of VNotes.

... and here the one that goes very soon to eok:

Beauty, isn't it? Even if it would not work, you could put it onto your necklace .) But it actually does! It does voice input on your Touch! Hidden in a black Dock Connector. So, pls do not hesitate too much and ask for your Mic. Be one of the very firsts who will make the Touch-4-VoIP become a reality! Do not be the "I'llBuyItWhenItWorks" coz then it will never happen! Until now it was up to us.. Now, it is up to you!

EDIT: 2008.03.20:
If you want your Touchmods Mic, pls go to "Touchmods.net" and search the Order Link on the right side.
If you have any questions, below is a link to find us. Cheers! Mrn

hint:

(The next post will discuss the parts and the assembly in case you decide to do it by yourself.)

2 - Im curious, how much will you be charging for this?

Also now that you have finished this mod do you plan on moving on to other things the ipod needs like bluetooth, or what im wanting :P a game pad attachment to use in the games and the emulators like gpSPhone and NES? (Comment this)

3 - It's beautiful & elegant. As for the question about where the Audio-in capabilities came from, it's probably because the touch has iPhone hardware inside. Apple had a working concept and didn't want to mess with the circuitry too much. it also cuts down on production costs. I'm willing to bet that if you added the iphone cellular chip to the Touch and switched out the firmware, it would become an iPhone (but would be ugly and expensive) (Comment this)

4 - Can we get a parts list and a schematic for those of us who don't want to wait and have soldering irons that are getting lonely? :) (Comment this)

10 - Tyler, the app is called Vnotes,
you can install it from the installer.
Santos made a video using his external preamp
with a mic and the touch.
