Low Level Audio - Approved

As you may have noticed, the audio status... well .. up to now we only had AMR support from the AVRecorder API, used also by VNotes. Therefore comments like the one below at Digg.com were totally right.

But, as promised you, we made again a little progress. Just check the screenshot below!! We can now record and play wav files in a buffered-way, ie. low lever audio is working!!!

That being said, the next comment at digg is definitely right:

So, the day when we will have VoIP on the Touch is really close. Most probably we can start the New Year by callin each other from the Touch. Meanwhile we are looking for a reliable media that could spread the word about the FIRST public VoIP Test on the Touch.
Believers who want to support the Project may click on the "Donate" button at touchmods.net. Thnx.

Stay Tuned !!!
Marian

1 - I've generally been keeping engadget updated about the mic. I'm sure they would post about the first public voip test. (^_^) Give me the info (where, when, etc) and once it's going good i'll let engadget know. I'm sure they'll have a positive impact too. They did make apple's stock dip about 4 mil once ;-)

4 - uhh, it is really-really tricky, mostly to fix the Mic into the housing so that it does not Touch anything, but is connected, does not fall off, but also has a little play when the Internal Metal box moves inside the Pastic housing, as happens during inserting and removing of the DockCoon!! Please wait until I post it in the next two days, otherwise you can end up with a broken PCB on the back side of the Mic.

Regards, and for the others: pls donate, we are below Eu 100, and we really need that Touch to finish the SIP coding till New Year? Capito? (Comment this)

6 - i bet this is gonna come out for a price and people who is testing it won't get it free. heck, i would donate a lot just to have this program out and free like how ANYsim was. we'll just see what happens. best of luck before the New Year starts. i hope there's a way i can get a new ipod touch to also experiment on this new upcoming "best thing". (Comment this)

7 - How did you record audio in low-level api.
did you use audioqueue to do the job?
If you did, how did you route audio into it ? (Comment this)

9 - The software is based on pjsip/pjmedia which is GPL so it will be GPL as well. (Comment this)
